Before burning fat as an alternative fuel you should first check with your local/state regulatory agency to verify whether an air permit or a modification to an existing air permit is needed.

Griffin has been permitted to burn fat for fuel since January 2001 and is now permitted to burn fat as an alternative fuel in the following states:
